Nylon coating technique drives job shop's success in automotive market
A Michigan custom coater cuts customer costs when it devises a nylon powder coating technique to control film thickness on four-wheel-drive truck parts.
Wright Coating has come a long way in 19 years, when it got its start in a two-car garage in suburban Kalamazoo, Mich. Now the custom coater is in a 70,000-square foot plant in the city. The company contracts a number of finishing processes, including fluidized-bed coating, electrostatic powder spraying, and vivyl plastisol dipping and spraying.
