Getting air – and only air – from the compressor
A client recently called us because craters had started appearing in the finish on his product. He suspected that oil contamination was the culprit.
He had noted that about the time the craters had shown up, oil had begun dripping from the pipe couplings in the hard pipe that runs between the compressor and the paint system. In addition, he had observed that some of the clear tubing in the booth had a yellow cast, which also pointed to the presence of oil in the system.
