For 15 years, Hill-Rom Co. Inc., a subsidiary of Hillenbrand Industries, has been powder coating hospital beds at its plant in Batesville, Ind. The company, founded in 1929, has 1,700 employees and makes five models of electric hospital beds as well as patient-room furniture and patient-handling equipment.
