Office furniture producer makes clean break from surface prep problems
When its pretreatment system threatens to soil a company's operations, an office-products manufacturer washes its hands of its vendor and switches to another provider who not only rids the company of its surface preparation woes, but also helps it save money and improve powder coating test results.
Maysteel is a global company with seven plants throughout the US and Europe. At its Menomonee Falls plant - one of five in Wisconsin - the company manufactures and powder coats office products and precision enclosures, such as chassis and cabinets, for the computer and telecommunications markets. Maysteel has been in business since 1936; the Menomonee Falls plant was built in 1985. Following a recent 18,000-square-foot addition that was built to accommodate the powder coating line, the plant now covers 155,000 square feet.
