Powder coating electrostatics: Corona and tribo
Two charging methods are widely used in commercial electrostatic powder spray equipment: corona charging and tribo charging
The principles underlying the two methods are quite different. This article describes these principles to lay the ground work for a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of each method. This is intended to provide the information necessary to select the electro static spraying equipment best suited to a particular application.
