Masking 102: The case for custom-molded masks

The key to deciding when to turn to custom-molded masks is their suitability for a particular application. This article discusses several coating applications that benefited by changing a time-consuming multistep masking operation into a one-step procedure with custommolded masks. It discusses how custom-molded masks differ from die-cut masks and presents in-the-field examples and solutions.

Powder coatings, as with most coatings, deposit on every available surface during application, including places where they're not wanted.
