So, it’s time to replace that old paint finishing system or you’re interested in buying that first powder coating system. There are several steps that you as the buyer must consider and think about to allow the equipment suppliers to provide a quotation to you. By taking these preliminary steps before going out for a request for quote (RFQ), you’ll have thought through and determined what your real requirements are. You’ll also have collected the necessary information that the equipment suppliers will need to prepare a quotation for you that will meet your needs. Remember, the system you specify, such as the one in Figure 1), will be used for 25 years or more, so take the time to think what your current needs are and what your potential needs will be in the future.
