Answering the appliance industry's finishing needs in the '90s
More than 15 years ago, appliance OEMs began finishing products with powder. It appears to be a good fit: In 1989 appliance OEMs brought 22 percent of the powder sold in North America, making the appliance industry the single largest user of powder on the continent.
Because of the significant position the appliance industry holds in powder coating, we decided to explore the use of powder coating in the appliance industry from the vantage point of both powder end users and major powder coatings and equipment suppliers to the appliance industry.
