Powder smoothes office furniture manufacturer's way to a more competitive edge
A Canadian-based office furniture manufacturer puts powder on its payroll when it finds the finish a better alternative than high-pressure laminates and liquid paint for its medium-density fiberboard work surfaces and desks.
Think of all the wear and tear your desk has to withstand. You've likely got a computer and telephone sitting on top of it. You've probably got a few notepads scattered here and there to scribble on. If you eat at your workstation, in all likelihood you've set [and spilled] fast food on it. Perhaps you've even put your feet up while you've talked on the telephone or when you've been winding down at the end of the workday. For many people, their desks have to work as hard as they do. This is the challenge faced by office furniture manufacturers - to come up with a product that can take the abuse dished out daily by working people.
