Ag product plants seeds for start-up of powder coating line
When farming out its powder coating projects becomes too costly and time-consuming, a metal fabricator invests in its own line. The result? A long-term contract with an agricultural company for a seeding machine.
Standard Iron and Wire Works, a 67-year-old metal fabrication job shop, has manufacturing plants in Monticello, Sauk Centre, and Alexandria, Minn. The company's primary customers are agricultural and off-road construction equipment manufacturers, including Case, John Deere, and Caterpillar.
