Multicolor powder coating adds peddle power to bicycles
After unique color combinations boost bicycle sales, a bicycle maker extendsits color coating techniques to a second plant and presses ahead with more multicolor effects.
Roadmaster, Olney, Ill., makes bicycles at four US plants and sells them nationwide. The company ships many of its bicycles to large retailers such as WalMart, Toys 'R' Us and Sears. Not surprisingly, other bicycle manufacturers are interested in floor space in these stores for their products.
