Powder coating processes for metal blanks conveyed horizontally, or flat lines, have drawn much attention in the finishing industry. Several installed systems are in various stages of design and operation around the world.
Lessons learned from existing systems in conjunction with numerous exploratory discussions on coating ferrous and nonferrous substrates are the basis for the remarks in this article on the value a systems perspective can add to the application equipment specification process.
