What’s the big deal these days? It’s smart to think small
DaimlerChrysler AG’s smart microcoupes have arrived in Canada and Mexico. Will the US get them? If so, when? And where will they be manufactured?
You can fit two of these into an average parking space. On one gallon of gas, it can go for 60 miles (70 with diesel). And one of them is in New York’s Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. If you haven’t guessed what I’m talking about by now, a word to the wise, the smart, Europe’s microcompact, is here, and all bets are on that it’ll replace at least some of the gasgreedy vehicles Americans have fallen so in love with over the past couple of decades.
