Electromagnetic brush technique speeds powder application on flat substrates

DSM Resins of the Netherlands, along with Michael Huber Munchen of Germany, has developed the EMB [electromagnetic brush] method of applying powder coatings on flat substrates.

This technique parallels copy-machine and laser printing techniques. Besides demonstrating how these printing practises can be applied to powder coating, the article includes information about laboratory equipment that used EMB methods to powder coat substrates, and the results of these experiments.
