World production of powder coatings to increase 11 percent annually through 2000
World production of thermoset decorative powder coatings, rose 18.3 percent to 497,106 metric tons in 1995, with 420,148 metric tons in 1994, according to a report released at the Powder Coating Institute's annual meeting in Panama City Beach, Fla.
PCI predicts that world production will grow an average of 11 percent annually through 2000, eventually reaching 836,000 metric tons. A metric ton equals 1.102 US tons, or 2,204 pounds.
