An electric utility and a metalworking company forge an agreement that results in a high-tech manufacturing plant with all-electric powder coating system.
Simonsen Iron Works, Sioux Rapids, Iowa, began as a blacksmith shop in 1906. Its smithy and founder, N.C. Simonsen, specialized in forging and repairing plows, wagons, and other farm equipment.
