Bar-grating manufacturer diversifies by adding a powder coating operation for its grating and architectural product
An Ohio-based company overcomes architectural market resistance to powder coatings by educating architects, engineers, and general contractors on benefits.
In 1970, Ohio Gratings opened its doors as a fabricator of light-duty steel bar grating. With headquarters in Canton, Ohio, the company soon started manufacturing heavy-duty welded steel and stainless steel grating, adding aluminum swaged and dovetail bar grating soon after. It wasn’t long before aluminum plank and fiberglass were added to its line of industrial flooring products. The market leader designed, engineered, fabricated, and distributed its products, initially offering liquid dip coating as its finishing technology.
