Powder slurry use in the automotive industry
What is the role of powder coatings in automotive markets?
For automotive coating applications, the typical conventional coating process involves four stages: electrocoat (corrosion protection), primer-surfacer (intercoat adhesion), base coat (color), and clear coat (gloss). Historically, skipping the primer-surfacer layer produced some not very attractive results, to say the least. These unfortunate results lead to some significant legal issues that have, fortunately, been resolved over time.
