Scaffolding maker's switch to powder raises product quality and production rates
A manufacturer of scaffolding razes its dated solvent-based dip tank to make way for a powder coating line. The technology boost lifts the company's throughput and builds a platform of product excellence.
Universal Manufacturing, established in 1934, makes scaffolding that is distributed up and down the East Coast and out into the Midwest. Its Zelienople, Pa., location serves as company headquarters and houses manufacturing.
