Conveyor tooling development for powder coating lines
Racking efficiency means hanging parts on a racking system designed with the utmost line density in mind for your powder coating operation. This article discusses how you can achieve high productivity and quality powder coating on your line to save money, materials, and labor. The article explains design issues to consider for proper racking. It also discusses how prototyping and testing of racking systems can improve efficiency, and how devices such as rotators and indexers can further increase productivity.
Our work as a conveyor tooling supplier has spanned the entire spectrum, from tiny quantities of the simplest hooks and rotators, to complete outfitting of new major appliance and industrial powder finishing lines. The latter projects have included racks, rotators, Angle Pivot devices, stripping and storage fixtures, and rack maintenance tooling—everything from the conveyor chain down—all for the same system. The initial projects were for retrofit tooling to improve the productivity of existing lines, which had the advantage of having a past track record to run against. But very soon, the invitations began to come to tool new lines as original equipment, completely, from scratch.
