Custom coater boosts business by adding burn-off capabilities
As outsourcing powder stripping for hooks, racks, and parts impedes control and production scheduling, a finisher enhances its powder coating process with a burn-off oven.
In a continuous effort to grow its business, Cleveland-based Imperial Metal Solutions has always found ways to boost production efficiencies, sometimes in unexpected ways. In 2001, Randy Winkler, owner and general manager, and partner Paul Libby offered to buy the business of their former employer, an Ohio-based manufacturer whose owner wanted to retire. He refused the offer. As a result, Winkler and Libby opened their own business to provide custom powder coating services to its customers.
