Recreational vehicle maker builds new line that aces finish
To meet growing demand, a maker of golf cars and all-terrain vehicles builds on its success with powder by installing a new and highly evolved finishing line.
In 1999, Yamaha Motor Manufacturing, Newnan, Ga., switched from a liquid to a powder topcoat over an electrodeposition-coat [e-coat] primer to produce a more durable finish for its golf car and ATV frames, and underbody components. The conversion proved a success.
