Silicon-based technologies for heat-space and weather-resistant powder coatings
Many silicon-based technologies [SBTs] can be applied in a broad range of powder coatings; however, this article focuses on silicon-based resins for high-temperature and ultraviolet-light-resistant powder coatings.
The article presents information about the history of SBT and includes typical application. It then discusses the performance attributes that give SBT coatings their heat and weather resistance, and includes information about the basic chemistry of the silanol functionality of an SBT resin.
