How to evaluate and compare cyclic corrosion chambers—part I
This article is first in a three part series on how to choose a cyclic corrosion chamber for corrosion testing of materials at your plant. It explains what cyclic testing is, provides some testing basics, describes some common cyclic corrosion tests, and discusses how to determine the right chamber size for your needs.
Part II, which will be published in a subsequent issue, will discuss the laboratory requirements necessary for inclusion of a cyclic corrosion chamber, including utilities, floor space, ventilation, operating conditions, and general machine operation.
