Chrysler's pneumatic conveyers move powder long distances without damage

Chrysler installs compressed-air-driven conveyers that move primer surfacer up to 200 feet on five of it's powder lines quietly and quickly - without damaging the powder.

In Summer 1995, Chrysler installed powder coating primer-surfacer lines in it's Jefferson and Warren, Mich., plants. The vacuum conveyer system used to transport powder from one location to another would have to be top notch. The same powder coating systems were also to be used at Chrysler plants in Newark, Del., Belvidere, Ill., and St. Louis.
