How to Buy a Washer: Design and Energy Considerations, 10/12
CD of live broadcast 10/23/12
This webinar will start out with a discussion of why we have washers with different numbers of stages and how some of the new technology is changing how we configure these. It will then go into the process of sizing the pumps and burners used in the washer with some dos and don’ts. It will cover the general requirements for the fabrication of a washer and how various elements can have an effect on the energy efficiency of the washer. It will also include an in-depth discussion on when to use burner tubes versus heat exchangers and boilers to heat the washer stages.
The webinar will end with a discussion of various energy-saving ideas. We’ll discuss whether they make sense and if they will pay for themselves.
